Mack started life on Vancouver Island, and will probably end it there, but he lived mostly in Northern BC and Alberta.  During those years he moved oil rigs, hauled logs, taught school and played music, among other things.  He also got married to Gail—still is—and raised three kids.

Mack holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Victoria with a major in literature and minor in philosophy.  He also holds a class one driver’s license.

After four decades in Northern Canada, he currently resides in Victoria where he once again drives truck, which pays, and thinks about the underlying philosophic structures of society, which does not pay.  He also likes to write.  He owns three guitars but no dogs or cats.
